It shows the story of these<em> gram sabhas<\/em>, supported by their federation moving towards social, political, economic and ecological transformation and re-defining development and wellbeing. Recognition of their community right over their traditional forests was one of the important triggers for this process to unfold. Currently, they are engaged in a struggle against the district administration which, threatened by the economic and social power of these villages, is trying to weaken the power of these village assemblies.
