The authors explore how this framework promotes a &#8220;more than human&#8221; perspective, overcoming the traditional division between nature and culture, and address three key dimensions: the transition in practice, the challenges of applying this philosophy, and the current limitations in governance. Although the concept has gained global traction and has influenced conservation policies through the IUCN, its application still suffers from obstacles such as administrative centralization, lack of qualified personnel, and the unsustainable behavior of many tourists.
