The Silene association was established in July 2006, so it is now 20 years old. At its origin it was linked to the Delos Initiative, within the Specialist Group on Cultural and Spiritual Values \u200b\u200bof Protected Natural Areas of the World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Subsequently, without abandoning its commitments to the WCPA, Silene promoted and deployed various activities of awareness, education, training, research, consultancy and political pressure at the international, Spanish, Catalan and local levels, always aimed at promoting the integration of intangible heritage and cultural and spiritual values \u200b\u200bin nature and landscape conservation initiatives: courses, conferences, workshops, congresses, publications, manuals, declarations, advice, allegations, strategic supports,…. in addition to the website with a news bulletin and a documentation center specialized in the subject. All these activities have been possible thanks to the support of numerous people, inside and outside the association, public bodies and third sector entities, faithful to the founding values. We are preparing a reflection on what we have achieved in these twenty years, with much gratitude, trusting that it will help us guide our efforts and creativity from now on.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
