This document aims to raise awareness of the value of cultural diversity and the need to preserve it as part of mankind\u2019s common heritage. It also recognizes the importance of traditional knowledge as a source of both intangible and material wealth and the need to ensure that is adequately protected and promoted, a task that has significant implications regarding the management of natural resources.
