Nevertheless, despite the certainty that this spirituality exists, its existence cannot be proven scientifically. The paper goes on to examine the spiritual values of mountains through an analysis of different cultures that recognize these values, and discusses the reasons why even today there are people who move to live in mountain regions. Amongst the commonest spiritual activities that are practiced in mountains are pilgrimages, the search for inspiration and several meditative and reflective practices.
