{"id":67960,"date":"2012-10-11T00:00:01","date_gmt":"2012-10-10T22:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/silene.idilicstudio.com\/?p=67960"},"modified":"2021-02-21T18:59:49","modified_gmt":"2021-02-21T17:59:49","slug":"increasing-interest-in-sacred-natural-sites-and-their-role-in-achieving-the-aichi-targets-at-convention-for-biological-diversity-conference-of-the-parties-11-hyderabad-india-october-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.silene.ong\/en\/news\/increasing-interest-in-sacred-natural-sites-and-their-role-in-achieving-the-aichi-targets-at-convention-for-biological-diversity-conference-of-the-parties-11-hyderabad-india-october-2012","title":{"rendered":"Sacred natural sites and Aichi targets at Convention for Biological Diversity Conference of the Parties 11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>10th of October<\/strong> As part of a broader programme of &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/sacrednaturalsites.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Rio-Pavillion-Protected-Areas-Day-Flyer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Natural Solutions: Protected Areas meeting Biodiversity Targets and adapting to Global Change<\/a>.&#8221; a presentation will highlight how Sacred Natural Sites can contribute\u00a0 to the Aichi Targets in conjunction with the need for social safeguards and capacity building. <strong>14th of October<\/strong> day long event will highlight the issues and discuss opportunities for the way forwards, see the <a href=\"http:\/\/sacrednaturalsites.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Green-Khumb-Yathra-COP-11-CBD-14-Oct.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flyer <\/a>and the <a href=\"http:\/\/sacrednaturalsites.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Green-yatra-agenda-en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">programme<\/a>. <strong>16th of October<\/strong> a session \u201cProtecting the Sacred and the Spiritual\u201d will facilitate an expert panel that will consider current standards relevant to protecting the spiritual and cultural values of biodiversity and whether further standards are needed.
