{"id":68295,"date":"2017-03-06T00:00:01","date_gmt":"2017-03-05T22:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/silene.idilicstudio.com\/?p=68295"},"modified":"2021-02-21T06:59:51","modified_gmt":"2021-02-21T05:59:51","slug":"seminars-about-the-monastic-landscape-monastery-and-territory-spiritual-and-spatial-peripheries-praglia-abbey-italy-18th-20th-may-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.silene.ong\/en\/news\/seminars-about-the-monastic-landscape-monastery-and-territory-spiritual-and-spatial-peripheries-praglia-abbey-italy-18th-20th-may-2017","title":{"rendered":"2nd Seminar on monastic landscapes: Monastery and territory, spiritual and spatial peripheries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Praglia Abbey and Padua University have joined together to organise the second seminar to enhance knowledge of monastic landscapes and in particular of the Benedictine system of land planning and management based on the distinctive approach to community life set out in the Rule of Saint Benedict and in general in the whole range of monastic thought that it inspired.<\/p>\n<p>Responding also to the stimulating questions raised by the first seminar in the Armonie composte cycle, entitled \u201cConstructed landscapes, landscapes in art\u201d this second meeting will explore the theme of \u201cperiphery\u201d in the sense of the outer edge of urban settlements.<br \/>\nThe three day event includes the presentation of twelve papers, discussion groups on specific aspects of the general theme, and site visits and filed trip.
