As a result of the emergency situation generated by the Gloria storm last January, the day “Geoethics: management and governance of threatened natural resources” suggested by Silene Association, had to be postponed for the 23rd and organized jointly by the Cultural and Natural Heritage Campus, SOS Costa Brava and the Center for Advanced Studies in Blanes.<\/p>\n
The activity has been rescheduled for March 5 and 6 at the CSIC Center for Advanced Studies in Blanes (CEAB). Given the magnitude of the consequences caused by the storm on our shores and inland, the day has been recast to include a reflection on this episode, in a two-day format, which contains a session focused on analyzing the vulnerability of the Catalan coast (on a general scale and especially in the Tordera Delta) in the new climate change context, and includes a visit to the Tordera Delta guided by Rafa Sard\u00e0 (CEAB), presentations and a round table with the participation of agents directly involved in the management, use and maintenance of the Tordera Delta. Keeping the initial objective, the second day will be dedicated to Geoethics. Dr. Francesc Bellaub\u00ed (Silene), introducing this discipline as a tool to explore the underlying values \u200b\u200bof seeking solutions to conflicts in the field of gea, and their application to beach regression, and will offer a participatory workshop guided by Dr. Josep Maria Mallarach (Silene).<\/p>\n
