Il prend comme point de d\u00e9part les sch\u00e9mas migratoires naturels de l&rsquo;hirondelle et \u00e9tudie comment les diff\u00e9rents groupes culturels au cours de cette longue p\u00e9riode ont r\u00e9agi au d\u00e9part des oiseaux en automne et \u00e0 leur retour ult\u00e9rieur chaque printemps. Bien que l&rsquo;analyse se concentre sur les textes europ\u00e9ens classiques &#8211; y compris les \u00e9crits scientifiques et th\u00e9ologiques &#8211; elle consid\u00e8re \u00e9galement la repr\u00e9sentation de l&rsquo;hirondelle dans les arts. Le but de cet article est de cr\u00e9er une histoire sur l&rsquo;\u00e9volution des croyances \u00e0 propos de l&rsquo;hirondelle au fil du temps, m\u00eame si les sch\u00e9mas migratoires de l&rsquo;oiseau sont rest\u00e9s les m\u00eames.
