The presentations and discussions will incorporate examples of good practices with innovative approaches in Europe focusing on the Carpathians.
On 25 April, there is a side event coordinated by Josep-Maria Mallarach devoted to the importance of spiritual values in protected areas. The Delos Initiative of the WCPA will describe the international community’s view of the subject from a European perspective focussed on the Carpathian region. Examples will be presented that can be applied in protected areas in the Carpathians, and there will be time to discuss the opportunities that spiritual values provide for expanding the social support for protected areas.
