Silene takes part in the 2nd Nature Conservation Congress of Catalonia

On 5, 6 and 7 October, the 2nd Nature Conservation Congress, organised by the Xarxa per a la Conservació de la Natura (XCN), will be held at Jou Nature, in Guardiola de Berguedà, Catalan Pyrenees. The congress will bring together professionals, organisations, public administrations, research centres and others interested in nature conservation from Catalonia

Silene’s participation, by Xavier Perarnau, will highlight the importance of cultural and spiritual values of nature in conservation processes and, in particular, their potential to strengthen nature stewardship, one of the XCN’s areas of work.  This participation forms part of Silene’s ongoing work on the study and dissemination of cultural and spiritual values of nature and their application to nature conservation. The congress will combine presentations, debates, networking sessions, short communications and a field visit to the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.
