Silene will participate at the 13th University Conference on Religious Tourism in Montserrat

The 13th University Conference on Religious Tourism, organised by Montserrat Abbey and the University of Girona, will take place on 16 and 17 November at the Monastery of Saint Mary of Montserrat, in Catalonia. This year, under the title “Gaudí: Between Nature, Symbol and the Sacred”, the conference will offer an interdisciplinary approach to the work of Antoni Gaudí, highlighting the relationship between architecture, nature and spirituality. Specialists in architecture, philosophy, theology, art history, heritage and tourism will explore the different dimensions of his creative universe. Xavier Perarnau, vicepresident of Silene, will participate with a presentation entitled “Nature as a Source of Inspiration”. The conference will also address the challenges of interpreting Gaudí’s religious heritage in the context of contemporary tourism.
