Actes de les Primeres Jornades sobre Jardins Claustrals i Activitats en Espais Claustrals de Catalunya

This volume brings together the studies and works presented in the first days on cloister gardens and activities in cloister spaces, as well as the participatory workshops that the Museum of the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Pedralbes organized and hosted on November 24 and 25, 2022. The days had the collaboration of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, the Department of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia, with the scientific secretariat of the Silene Association. Their purpose was to contribute to creating and spreading awareness about the values ​​that these unique spaces treasure, with a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, historical and contemporary vision, in order to interest the people and organizations that have responsibilities to improving the quality of their interventions, activities and proposals, so that the cloisters can continue to meet the needs of today’s society and provide appropriate responses, in a way that is consistent with their nature, vocation and reason for being.
