Faith in Conservation. New Approaches to Religions and the Environment

Palmer, Martin; Finlay, Victoria2003

This book discusses, using a simple language, how religions are currently working in many parts of our world with environmental focussed organizations, both to provide alternative models of conservation approaches and to develop programmes for their own faithful. It includes numerous case studies, and a collection of the major faiths’ core statements on conservation, brought together for the first time in this volume. The experiences have been mainly drawn from joint projects between The World Bank, the Alliance of Religions and Conservation, and WWF International.
