Montserrat and Montsant: unique landscapes, universal symbols

The Chair of Cultural Policies at the University of Girona, directed by Sílvia Aulet PhD, is promoting a training course for guides in the two main sacred mountains of Catalonia, Montsant and Montserrat, subtitled: “Unique landscapes, universal symbols”. The course, directed by Sílvia Gili and Ricard Fernàndez-Molinet, has a holistic and inclusive approach, in line with the Silene Association, which has collaborated in the dissemination and teaching. At the Montsant session, Josep Maria Mallarach will give a presentation dedicated to presenting IUCN policies regarding the integration of cultural and spiritual values in nature conservation, the Delos Initiative and Christian monastic custody.
